What is a Lead Generation Website?

By Larry Franklee

A lead generation website is one that inspires a visitor to make an investigation or opt in to receive more info about services and goods.

When setting up a new website for the needs of lead generation, or adapting a site that hasn't got an opt-in box, consideration should be made when choosing an e-mail programme.

Lead Generation Website Autoresponders

There are several wonderful corporations that may handle all of your e-mails, such as Aweber and MailChimp, and these programs can be engineered to send out a sequence of pre-written messages as quickly as someone signs up. Mostly you can make a decision to need a double opt-in process to help protect you and your prospects from getting punished due to spam beefs or not. I've found requiring prospects to confirm their request for more information seriously decreases the number of leads you will eventually get.

You'll also need to write your mails to provide valuable content - not just a sales spiel. Consider it. How long do you stay subscribed to an e-mail list that offers nothing less than a pretentious sales message every 2 days?

Consider also the information you ask for when you design your opt-in box. Folk do not like giving out too much information initially, but always get the subscriber's first and last names and you can have a box for any other info pertinent to your business. For instance, you may have a drop down box that lists the products on your site and from that you can find out particularly what information your customer is looking for. If you have 6 different products you may then build 6 different list within your email program and target info and other products especially to those folks.

Whenever you set up autoresponders or any type of email campaign, it is vital that your emails are checked and checked again. Many people are not impressed by typos, and rather more will not read amail that's a mile long. Make your e-mails exact and to the point, and drafted in short paragraphs, in simply digestible chunks.

Once your list has grown to a respectable size, you can send out a once per month newsletter, informing subscribers about new goods and services you have added.

Address your subscriber by his first name, not "dear customer" as is often seen, and write your copy as if you are writing to a chum, don't blind subscribers with "get this" or "buy this", it turns folk off. The most effective way effect a sale is by helping folks, by giving them important information and anything free is usually good, as an example a free ebook.

Ensure that everything you send your subscriber is relevant and of price. If your "unsubscriber" list builds too swiftly, that may be a sure sign you are doing anything wrong, although you will always get some people who unsubscribe.

So understand that your auto responder and the e-mails you send out are at the very heart of your lead generation website. You wouldn't have a lead generation website without it. So spend some time changing and refining this facet of your system. Don't just toss away a handful of email pitches. Relate. Build a relationship. Ask for feedback and collaboration.

A lead generation website never sleeps so that you can!
