What To Do When You're Hit By The Google Penguin Update

By Anne Sutton

Every now and then, the Internet world incurs uproars here and there. When does it happen? When Google releases a new update or rolls out a new penalty! This is happened when Google released the Penguin update last April 24 this year and affected majority of business entities on the Web.

And what seems to be the fuss all about? Well, a lot of business entities are pointing fingers at Google, furiously lashing at the sudden meteor that obliterated the online planet that they have built atop Google's universe. Many continue to shake their heads in disbelief, interrogate the authorities and even predict the ultimately fall of SEO because of Google's wrongdoing. So what has earned the ire of these Internet professionals? It may have to do with their site's dropping from the peak to an all time low.

But is Google to be blamed for all these inconsistencies and fluctuations? Is Google responsible for these lost website rankings? Not really. If you've been a victim of the update, then it is not beneficial if you blame the unexpected roll out of Google penguin. Why? Because the issues you encountered today would have lashed at you anyway, at some point. And the one thing you really have to do is mend the errors that plagued your web site.

What should you do to recover your rankings and get to the top? You must work on your campaign. Determine the flaws of your plan. Scrutinise the minute details of your strategies. Have you engaged in black hat SEO before? You will have to admit that dealing with black hat isn't the best way to go up.

Ask an SEO and web development company Singapore, and surely, they will tell you that having a website that is devoid of quality and value is easily taken off the Google SERPS. If you want to stir results for your business advertising through SEO then make sure you implement a content-driven SEO campaign in full blast.
