Combining SEO and Social Networking for Ultimate Domination

By Tia Debnam

Be sure that you know that messages and signals are easy to come by when it comes to social signals and SEO. You have plenty of say in this regard. But you ultimately have little control over who generates them for you. It is up to whether or not your fans and followers want to help you. It will rely on how well they trust you and if they think that you can provide value.

Due to Google's penguin update, there has been a ton of things that have changed. Much is still the same, but it's the emphasis on social signals as it relates to SEO. Basically, when you push Google back, you will see that everything remained the same. Also take into consideration that people and site traffic have an immense amount of control. As much as you may be tired of hearing about Facebook and Twitter, they still matter very much. Even though it does not get as much attention as Twitter and Facebook, Yelp is also a very popular site. The users of these sites like to talk about their different viewpoints. This is not a new concept, but I makes Google happy.

Since this is all about social media, and SEO, then your ability to reach out with meaningful content is all important. There are so many different things that you can do with social media and one of the best is using it to find out which people are the most influential within your niche or market. Once you've figured out who they are, whether it is through Twitter or Facebook, then you can begin to get involved. You can actively play a part to drive the conversation in your market. You are going to get attention when you do this, but what you put out there should be equally topical and relevant.

There are different methods for adding SEO elements to your social pages. First, you can link your homepage to Facebook. This is not the only thing that you can do. Then you can add plugins such as Fan Box. It is imperative that you engage social media in some way. You might be doing this already with sites like Facebook. Expose your brand on your social media accounts. You could brand your domain or other things. If it is found to be sociable, then it should be tweaked so that it is easy to use. Optimizing does not imply the same things that are for SEO.

Don't get stressed out when it comes to social signals and Google. If you have quality content and know how to please your readers, you will still received your fair share of the rewards. Just make sure that you pay attention to social signals and you will be successful.
